Hello & Happy Monday!
So what is up with people wanting short cuts, fast breaks, or things to come easy for them? As if WORKING HARD is a bad word? This is the Life we live in and whether you grew up with everything handed to you or not or in a fitness related topic looking for a quick fix or not, at some point you have to EARN your keep on things in your life.
Weight loss & Fitness- There are no magic pills. There are no magic diets. Nor are there any overnight quick fixes that are going to get you to the weight you want to be. Of course there are temporary solutions. But know that they are TEMPORARY. After you have put on the sweat waist trainer belt, taken the Hydroxycut pill, or slept in a inferno sauna, at the end of the day you may have lost 1000 calories or appear skinnier for the moment but you have no idea the inner damage you may or may not caused to your body. Do you know why? It’s because you didn’t put in the WORK. The moment you eat a piece of bread the temporary results that you thought would be a permanent solution will re-appear. You have to EARN IT. Day in and Day out you must put forth the effort to see results.
Life/Career/Finances – I don’t know about anybody else, but I have been working since I was 14 years old. I am now 33. Absolutely NOTHING in my life has been handed to me. Anything I have ever wanted , I made sure I WORKED for it. I never liked to ask for anything. I could be down to my last $1 in the bank and for as long as all my bills were paid, food in the refrigerator, and gas in my car I was good. I didn’t ask for much more. In most cases I didn’t need it. It seems like people don’t genuinely give anymore anyways. There’s always that hold over you when you borrow something from somebody. If there’s something I cannot have at that moment. I will find a way to get it. I don’t care if it takes a week, a month, or a year. I don’t care how many failed attempts it takes. You have to know when some things are just not meant for you to have but ONLY at that very moment. However, if you work hard for what you want, you will get it. You cannot be afraid to fail or be told No sometimes. Dedication, Consistency, and Persistence is everything when you have a goal or something you have dreamed of getting. And then guess how rewarding it is to know that YOU did this. YOU got it all on your own. Earn it. It will make you appreciate it more.
I want to say this…… I am not saying that you shouldn’t ask for help when you need it. As a matter of fact that might be another upcoming blog of mine. What could be my flaw or not, is that I am VERY stubborn. So my mentality is if I can’t get it on my own then I can’t have it and I need to find a way to get it…….on my own. My grind game is authentic. I don’t cheat, I don’t take short cuts. I EARN it.
That goes for weight loss to. One day you will wake up not wanting to feel the way you feel. And suddenly your mentality becomes unstoppable. Don’t be so quick to hop on a fat burner pill or a “no eating for a week” type of diet. This is what I mean when I say it is ok to ask for guidance/help. Maybe you don’t know how to meal prep, maybe you don’t know what clean eating is, or the best workouts are for certain targets on your body. ASK. And once you have a regimen/ working schedule and clean eating lifestyle ….WORK! Nothing like having a natural formed, HEALTHY body!
