Happy Holidays Everyone!
I don’t know about you all but I love the holidays. The gatherings, events, family, friends, the decor, the shopping, sales, the scarves, boots, sweaters, food, drinks…..I could go on and on. As the classical song states, it is the most wonderful time of the year!
I am counting down the days, as we speak, when I am officially off of work, out of school, and I can physically and mentally distress from the entire year.
I want to take this time to inform everyone that I will be taking the remainder of the month to regroup and not only focus on myself during this downtime but to come back 2019 with some fresh new wellness ideas and great health tips!
I have been asked numerous times on what my plans are for this month? How do I plan to regroup? What am I going to refocus in my downtime?
Well, I am going to do what matters the most and that is to focus and enjoy the now. I am going to enjoy my family, friends, and all of the moments and memories we will make the remaining of the year.
My anxiety has gotten worse over the year and I know it is because I stress about my future. Anxiety has tried to take its toll on my well-being, so I find it necessary to take a pause from time to time and refocus on what matters the most.
I have really learned a lot about myself this year, especially on how I deal with certain aspects of my life. And it turns out that I am not as strong, mentally, as I thought I was. There was a lot of emotions out of me this year that I did not know was there. I’m glad that I was able to cover a lot of relatable topics about mental health over the year for those who needed comfort because I to, enjoyed a lot of the research I have discovered within my classes and on my own, that has helped me relay some necessary self-help tips onto myself and readers.
If nothing else, if I have helped at least one person over this year, then I am proud to say that I am doing my job!
As I conclude the last blog of 2018, I hope that if you have the opportunity to take a break during the holidays, that you take it. Enjoy the now as we prepare ourselves for a new year. We don’t know what is in store for a new year or a new day for that matter, so prepare yourself for it, mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually.
I want everyone to have a wonderful Christmas, a Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year! Until next year!
